Easy-to-Make Healthy Chicken Dishes

It's the time of year when many of us decide it's time to eat healthier. Eating a better, more balanced diet sounds simple but can be quite hard to stick to for a long period of time, especially if the recommended food seems tasteless or boring. One of the primary meats that are often part of a healthy diet regiment is poultry for it's high protein, low fat content.
The wonderful thing about poultry and especially chicken is the variety of ways you can prepare it, producing very different tasting dishes. Chicken mixes well with all kinds of sauces and side dishes, making it a very simple and tasty dish to cook. Whether you prefer grilled, baked, stir-fried, spicy, or sweet, you'll find a wealthy of great recipes that will make it easy to add poultry to your healthy diet.
Chicken, especially if you choose to make cutlets or cubed style, cooks quickly making it easy to cook even during your hectic workweek. One sample menu could simply be cutlets coated in a bit of lemon and herbs or marinade, baked in your oven and served with a side of herbed risotto and a fresh balsamic salad. In less than 25-minutes you'll have a satisfying and delicious meal for your whole family to enjoy. Another timesaver is making double portions so you can enjoy the meal again later in the week.
You can grill chicken anytime with an electric grill, whether it's barbecued strips or a homemade version of chicken nuggets. One of our family favorites is a homemade chicken kebob. They taste great and they're a fun meal that the kids love too. You just cube up some cutlets and take the cutlet pieces along with some fruits (like pineapple or melon) and some veggies (like zucchini or pepper) and put them on your skewers and place them on the grill. These are great with a mixed green salad and some fresh homemade bread or pasta.
Even without a wok, you can create great tasting chicken stir-fry dishes in no time at all. You can use any good-sized frying pan or skillet that will serve as your wok quite easily. Stir-fry can be sweet or spicy and the chicken can be cooked up with some great veggies to create a well-rounded, healthy main dish. Serve with fresh fruits and brown rice for a delicious dinner.
