As with Uggs, Emu boots were designed originally for wearing by Australian surfers. What you will also find over time with Emu boots is that the wool used contains properties that helps to remove a large amount of the moisture (around 70%) of that your feet produce. So even if you choose not to wear socks in them there is very little odour build up in them as you will find where boots are made using inferior kinds of wool. Not just the Emu Bronte boots but the other boots produced by Emu help to remove a lot of moisture but they are capable of absorbing some of it. So your feet will remain relatively dry even when you are not wearing socks. This in turn reduces the chances of your feet being damaged or becoming infected. Just as with Uggs Classic Tall the Emu Bronte boots can be worn at any time of the year. In summer they will keep your feet cool and dry and when winter comes around they have the properties to retain the heat and keep your feet warm. They are so effective that you don't even need to wear socks in them in the winter if you don't want. Certainly if you are looking for a great looking pair of boots for this winter then you cannot go far wrong with getting yourself a pair of Emu Bronte boots. Not only do they look good on but can be worn with just about anything that you have in your wardrobe.
